Sharla Riead Sharla Riead is the Owner and Manager of Accurate Rater Network by Hathmore Technologies, LLC. Ms. Riead’s energy and environmental experience spans over 25 years of progression from working as an energy auditor through construction and installation of solar panels to directorships and management of energy conservation and consulting companies. As a Certified Home Energy Rater, Ms. Riead works closely with builders and developers, educating them in energy efficient construction techniques and supporting their efforts to build to ENERGY STAR standards and qualify for Energy Tax Credit incentives. Ms. Riead is a Certified Home Energy Rater, a Certified RESNET Rater Trainer/Quality Assurance Designee, a Certified Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst and a Certified BPI Shell Specialist. She has mentored many certified HERS Raters through dozens of Home Energy Ratings including site data gathering techniques, interpretation of the standards and use of the REM/Rate™ software tool. Sharla Riead is a seasoned speaker, presenter and trainer. She has spoken at conferences, tradeshows and forums in front of audiences ranging from five to five hundred people. As Director of the Missouri Community Solar Workshop Program, through neighborhood organization speaking engagements, and in working with the Metropolitan Energy Center’s Weatherization Workshops programs, Ms. Riead has trained hundreds of participants in energy and the environment, energy conservation techniques, design building and installation of solar systems, business and systems use. |

Gary Transmeier Gary Transmeier is Instructor and Training Specialist for Hathmore Technologies, LLC. Mr Transmeier has nearly 30 years in the construction industry. His experience includes auditing commercial buildings, obtaining funds for energy upgrades, and monitoring construction. Mr. Transmeier has designed energy efficient Heating, Ventilating, And Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for a variety of commercial buildings. Mr. Transmeier has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Facilities Management. Mr. Transmeier has over eight years of classroom teaching. He has been an Assistant Professor teaching continuing education courses at post graduate level to HVAC Design Engineers. He also taught courses at a career school to entry level HVAC Technicians including the creation of an Associates Degree Program for HVAC Service Professionals. Mr. Transmeier has created online and computer based educational lessons for construction professionals. |

Ken Riead Ken Riead is well known in the fields of energy conservation, renewable energy and environmental practices for over 30 years. His focus has been on promoting education for both consumers and professionals. During his tenure on the board of the Colorado Thermal Insulation Association, Ken helped write the first set of energy codes for Denver, which were later enacted into law. He also served on the board of the Denver Solar Energy Association. While at DSEA he helped organize the first Denver Passive Solar Home tour, which eventually evolved into the National Sustainable Homes Tour. Ken Riead worked in the late 1970s and early 1980s as the Director of the Denver Energy Conservation Laboratory and taught energy conservation courses at the Red Rocks Solar program, which at that time was the largest solar program in the United States. He has worked or consulted for several energy utilities, including Intermountain Rural Electric Association, the City of Independence, Missouri Power & Light and the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities. Ken is the recipient of many energy and environmental awards and recognitions. He is a Senior Certified Energy Manager and Demand-Side Manager and a lifetime member of the Association of Energy Engineers. Ken is a Certified Home Energy Rater, a Certified Sustainable Development Professional and a Certified Energy and Environmental Instructor. Ken has both Public Relations and Energy Engineering degrees. |

Dan Chiras Dan Chiras, Ph.D. teaches workshops on solar electricity, wind energy, energy efficiency, green building, natural building, and electric car conversion. Dan is founder and Director of The Evergreen Institute and President of the consulting firm, Sustainable Systems Design, Inc. Dan has published over two dozen books and several hundred articles on green building, residential renewable energy, and sustainability. He has taught courses on renewable energy at the college level for over 30 years and taught numerous workshops on passive solar design, green building, and renewable energy through the the Continuing Education program at the University of Colorado, American Solar Energy Society, the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, the Colorado Strawbale Association, and the Colorado Renewable Energy Society. Dan lives in a state-of-the art green-built, passive solar/solar electric home made of natural materials and constructed in 1995 in Evergreen, Colorado |
