EnergyARM
Accurate Rater Network is now working with a new and exciting Energy Audit Tool. EnergyARM stands for Energy Automated Retrofit Management. For the Energy Auditor, this tool is will both simplify and perfect the home energy audit and home energy improvement process, cut the auditing time in half, and give you a dramatic competitive edge. One must be a member of the Accurate Rater Network to get access to this remarkable tool. To learn more, go to www.EnergyARM.com
Certified BPI Building Analysts
To become certified as a professional BPI (Building Performance Institute) Building Analyst, you must successfully complete the accredited training course, pass the BPI national exam and pass a field exam. (Note: The field test is off-site.) Doing so, you will be able to produce energy analysis reports that will help homebuyers and homeowners qualify for energy rebates and a variety of private and government loan programs. Certification as a Building Analyst is a National certification.
Because of the combustion safety component of the Building Analyst training, only a BPI Building Analyst is designated as qualified to perform an EnergyARM energy audit.
Certified Home Energy Raters
Under the Uniform Accreditation Standard set by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET), a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater must report to a HERS Provider for their Quality Assurance and certification process. Accurate Rater Network (ARN) can be your Provider. Go to our ARN Quality Assurance Page for more information.
ARN’s home energy rating program has two categories of raters that are differentiated by the number of ratings the rater has successfully completed:
Probationary Rater – Completed the rater classroom training and passed the course’s examination or has passed a challenge test (in lieu of taking the class). We have a program available to guide individuals through the probationary period. For more information on this program, go to our ARN Mentoring Program Page.
Certified Rater – Satisfactorily conducted five field ratings, two during training and three in the field
